Read the estate
Analyse SAS programs together with execution logs, including code produced through macro execution.
Built from your SAS programs and execution evidence, ELSii reconstructs how data moves and transforms across your estate — from tables and columns through calculations and dependencies, with traceability back to the supporting SAS code.
Long-lived SAS estates hide years of business logic. ELSii helps surface it before migration starts.
The analysis is layered. ELSii first understands the source, then brings in runtime evidence where additional execution context is needed, resolves semantic and physical identities, reconstructs individual instances, and builds the lineage database.
Analyse SAS programs together with execution logs, including code produced through macro execution.
Identify libraries, tables, columns, transformations and calculations across programs and processes.
Distinguish each table input, output and successive overwrite so repeated uses of the same SAS table name are not flattened into one object.
Create structured lineage and supporting evidence that can be queried, exported, integrated and explored through downstream tools.
Once the SAS estate has been reconstructed at table, column and calculation level, the same evidence base can support work across migration, change and ongoing estate understanding.
Understand what must be carried forward before SAS logic is rebuilt in another technology.
Trace upstream sources and downstream dependencies before changing a table, variable or calculation.
See what depends on a process or dataset before deciding whether it can safely be retired.
Follow an output back through intermediate variables, calculations and supporting SAS code.
Create a structured evidence base for inherited or poorly documented SAS estates.
Use structured lineage and transformation evidence as an input to downstream migration, documentation or code-generation tooling.
ELSii analyses SAS programs and execution evidence, reconstructs the estate into a structured and enriched lineage database, then makes that intelligence available to the tools and people that need it.
ELSii is designed around the realities of SAS estates: generated code, layered transformations, reused variables, multiple intermediate datasets and logic that is difficult to reconstruct manually.
Tables, columns, calculations and dependencies captured as structured, integration-ready lineage records.
Clear views for tracing a variable, table or process through the estate.
Trace lineage relationships back to the relevant SAS program, step, statement, source position and calculation context.

ELSii is developed by Real Fruit Pty Ltd, incorporated in 1999. Founder Allison Low has been programming in SAS since 1992, with experience spanning government, pharmaceuticals and clinical research, insurance, banking, credit bureaux, and university and research environments.
ELSii is currently being demonstrated to organisations working with complex SAS estates and migration programmes.
